Murder Rap

A 23-year-old man has died after being shot in the 4400 block of F Street, SE Sunday afternoon, according to D.C. police.

Police say around 12 p.m. they received reports for “sound of gunshots” and upon arrival located 23-year-old Antonio Leach of Southeast Washington with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police ask that anyone with information contact them at (202) 727-####. To remain anonymous text #####.

That is a pretty sad ending for young Antonio Leach’s life. Nobody wants to hear such tragedy about their loved ones. Only 23 years old. He had his whole life ahead of him.

However. When you make a video at the gravesite of a former rival, trouble may come your way.

Correction.

When you make a video at an enemy’s gravesite, diss his remaining homeboys, play the news clip about the death as the hook and THEN proceed to burn the deceased’s picture for a video. Oh, trouble is definitely looking for you. This is the video.

I hate to post things like this because this has nothing to do with Hip Hop. This dude decided to struggle rap his way through a decent track to make an ignorant point. If he worked at Starbucks and had beef with somebody who worked at Dunkin Donuts, he would not do this. This goes beyond the code of the streets. This isn’t disrespecting his enemy, this is shitting on the deceased’s family, friends, loved ones, employers, significant others or anybody else who had a decent word to say about him. If he was a real gangsta, he would not conduct interviews in “his” hood, letting you know where you can find him, bragging on knocking another dude girl and smiling like an idiot after that video. But he did.

So there you have it. Another senseless tragedy of a dead black male gone too soon. But this time it was brought upon himself. The disrespect that was displayed in that clip, I would understand if homie grandma pulled the trigger. I appreciate OG Man Man for saying he is NOT a rapper. Thanks. Please keep that bullshit over there while the culture is in the midst of a resurgence. I just got one question.

Was it worth it? I know, had this been one of my loved ones, I wouldn’t give a fuck as to how the justice got served just as long as it did. If OG Man Man was cool with what drama may come, then fine. But if he had family and friends that would worry about what would happen in these streets after such antics, then he let more than himself down. I’ve never been a strong believer in karma, but this was well deserved. If you read this story and feel I’m being too harsh, thats fine.

Just don’t call this bullshit Hip Hop.

  1. Another life snuffed out by ignorance. It’s sad that we’re cannibalizing ourselves for the sake of being “trill” or “hood” or “cool”. It ain’t worth it. Never has been. Never will be.

    1. This is crazy to me. I would not have posted this story if it wasn’t evident that he died based upon that video. This new generation is swift with the get back but unaware of the consequences. It takes football numbers in prison or death to see the light….if they ever do. Like always Thanks for reading Champ
